Our services include

Acupuncture

Meg is a qualified Acupuncturist, a practitioner of the balance method developed by Dr Richard Tan.

Acupuncture is a system of complementary medicine in which fine needles are inserted into the skin at specific points along meridian lines.

This is used in the treatment of various health issues, especially pain.

Acupuncture points are selected away from the site of pain and only the arms, legs, and scalp of the patient are needed to be accessed.

Therefore patients are able to be comfortably treated in an armchair without the need for clothing to be fully removed.

This form of acupuncture is a very different practice from dry needling.

Massage

Meg specialises Tui Na masssage, an ancient Chinese massage therapy that dates back to 1700BC and is the parent of most Asian body work forms.

This practice uses rhythmic compressions along energy channels of the body as well as a variety of techniques that manipulate and enhance the functioning of the joints.

Tui Na is able to focus on specific problems especially chronic pain associated with the muscles, joints and skeletal system. Effective for muscle spasm, pain associated with the back, shoulders and neck and can help to improve conditions such as insomnia, stress and anxiety.
